First...thanks for the kudos. I have always had this strange habit of looking at information (especially numbers) differently than they are presented, sometimes I see something that someone else has not noticed or possibly not even thought about in the way that I see them. This just happens to be one of those cases.

To answer your questions, my projections are compiled from the power ratings and these are based on entire game matchups. Right now, I've never seen Saragin, Pomeroy, Moore or Dunkel post half game power ratings. I suppose if they could they could be used in the same way. But so far they haven't...so I can't...sorry. (Nice thought though )

In as far as the line I use...I usually wait until around 1pm est, because the ential wave of line movements have ended, and the lines are pretty much stabilized until later in the day. I plug in those numbers and play the games that fall within the higher win %'s. During the first couple of days I was experimenting with this, I plugged in the opening line numbers, (from the Stardust). Then waited for the line movements and noticed that some games changed (moved out of the playable parameters) while others moved in, and some stayed the same. I also plugged in closing numbers...same situation. So, that's when I decided to use the numbers after the first wave of movements and stay with those, basically because the theory is based on public perception versus the power ratings. I have been placing my bets around 1pm est, some 6 to 9 hours before actual tip-offs. So far it has worked out pretty well, so I'll stay with it. I use the Stardust just because it stays pretty constant and they're not that far off the many other Offshore lines, and because I like to have and use as many constants as possible to keep the results comparable. (Its the same reason I don't figure the Ashby power numbers into the equations because they don't post numbers for every contest.) The more constant the factors used, the more reliable the results.

I don't care what the line is...I look at the differential between the line and the averaged power numbers. If that differential falls within high win percentage I play that game. I've talked with friends of mine (not telling them what or how I'm doing this) and for the most part they kind of look at me and wonder why I would even look at (for example) a Florida International game. I think its kinda fun... I don't care about the teams...I don't care about the line...I only look at the differentials between the line and the power averages.

I hope I answered your questions and appreciate your comments. It helps to have them, because of what I stated earlier...sometimes you see something that someone else may not have noticed or thought about. Basically just thinking outside the box.
